تغير محتويات ال EXTENDED ROM

هنالك طريقة لتغير محتويات الإكستندد روم ولكنها تحتاج ال LINUX و أشدد أن هذة الطريقة للمحترفين فقط.

بهذه الطريقة يمكن التغلب على الإكستندد روم المحمية

يمكنك أن تغير الملف ms_.nbf كم تشاء وبعد ذلك تستعمله محل الملف الأصلي الموجود بال T-Mobile Upgrade.

لتوخي الدقة التعليمات باللغة الإنجليزية:

You need to put the ms_.nbf under a Linux OS via network or put it on a share partition if you dual boot your machine.

Extract the following 6 files from "RUU16006WWE_T-mobile_NL.exe"

HimaClearJumpCode.exe
HimaGetDeviceData.exe
HimaUpgradeUt.exe
ms_.nbf
NK.nbf
Radio_.nbf

Now Boot into Linux (see below how to get a bootable LINUX CD)

Then you need to create a mount point

mkdir /mnt/loop0

and mount the extracted file ms_.nbf with this command

mount -o loop,offset=0x70040 -t vfat ms_.nbf /mnt/loop0

Then you can edit the content of ms_.nbf (eg. by adding your Etisalat and Arabization files and deleting the T-Mobile files and changing the config.txt) under the /mnt/loop0 directory

After you finish with the edit just unmount it with the command:

umount /mnt/loop0

then you can now replace the original ms_.nbf with the modified copy b.

Reboot your WIndows system and go to the directory where you extracted the 6 files. ensure that the file ms_.nbf is the modified one (check date).

Now put your i-mate in the cardle ensure its conneted to your desktop and run the file

HimaUpgradeUt.exe

If you do not have a linux system handy, the easiest way is
to boot your machine with knoppix live linux CD which you can get the CD ISO from http://www.knoppix.net/
