If the Firewater method failed, then you'll have to try the "Sunshine" method. The same guys who made firewater, now made a bounty app, meaning you'll have to pay (25 USD) to get s-off.
It's fairly straight forward and easy, you'll need unlocked bootloadr, no screen lock should be enabled, a rooted ROM - they advice against ARHD, so better to use a rooted Stock ROM to get s-off, and then download whatever ROM you like or restore from a nandroid backup.

The main reasons for getting s-off:
- Remove tampered with after getting s-off by downloading a new firmware.
- Change unlocked to locked without having to actually lock the bootloader
- Sim Unlocking without waiting for codes
- Firmware upgrade
- Change CID number, for example to SuperCID
- Use advanced Fastboot commands
* If you don't need any of the above, please don't do it. I mean, like everything else, it comes with certain risks, specially if you don't know what you're doing down to the letter.
